This week’s haul is all about learning. Whether you’ve got a pile of unpainted minis sitting on your desk or you’re just getting started, both of these are worth bookmarking.
MINIAC: How to Paint a WHOLE Mini (Free YouTube Masterclass)
If you’ve ever finished basecoating a mini and then had absolutely no idea what to do next, this is the video for you.
MINIAC’s full-length masterclass walks you through painting a miniature from start to finish, covering everything from priming and basecoating through shading, highlighting, and basing. It’s aimed squarely at beginners, but there’s enough in here that intermediate painters will pick up something useful too.
The whole thing is free on YouTube with no paywall and no signup required. MINIAC does sell courses and merch through his website, and you’ll see those links in the video description, but the masterclass itself costs nothing.

If you want to follow along, a beginner brush set and a Speedpaint starter set will cover everything he uses in the video.
Warhammer Academy (150+ Free Hobby Videos)
Games Workshop launched Warhammer Academy in July, and it’s genuinely useful even if you have zero interest in Warhammer.
The Academy launched with over 150 free hobby videos covering painting techniques, model assembly, lore, and gameplay basics. The painting content is the relevant part for D&D painters, and the techniques — layering, drybrushing, edge highlighting, basing, transfer — directly to any miniature regardless of the game system.
You do need to create a free My Warhammer account to access it, which takes about a minute.
That’s this week’s haul. If you work through the MINIAC masterclass, let us know how your mini turns out in the comments.
